Daniel Muszkat pays tribute to his grandfather, Adam Muszka, who lived and died in Paris in January 2005, and opens an exhibition of Muszka's paintings in Brodt Center of Jewish Culture in Tel-Aviv.
Adam Muszka dedicated his life to painting his Jewish hometown of Piotrkow in Poland. His paintings portray a deep longing to the Jewish life in the "Shtatel".
Adam Muszka is a realist. In realism he seeks a new mode of expression – a world full of feeling, lyrical, delicate, dreamy and romantic in content.
His paintings are enveloped in a hushed and deep solitude, in Jewish sadness and contemplation.
