Not militarily useful at 10kW, but useful at 60kW? That assumes the opponent does not take the cheap, easy countermeasure route of applying a several micron thick coating of copper ( or similar ) to the projectiles. If they did the power requirement would increase to + 250kW. Military usefulness also demands all weather functionality. Even under typical sea level conditions, the scattering attributable loss moderated transmission for ~1micron light at 1 nautical mile is perhaps 55%. For any condition worse than that the bottom falls out of transmission, so power cannot be delivered. One assumes one would reach an accord with one's opponent that they will only attack in good weather conditions? Finally, this wavelength is a problem as it transits to personnel/civilian retina - and the eye damage threshold is very low and not repairable. So, other than perhaps for naval applications, the tactical deployability, and thus utility, is severely limited. I think an ill conceived system as it will be way to costly and from a military standpoint very limited for reasons given.

Problem No.1:
Intercepting a barrage of rockets,
up to 24 rockets in 12 seconds, from a single truck.
Problem No.2:
Detecting an tracking a UAV from kilometers away,
given it is a small and stealthy target.
Solving for those challenges means very high costs
for point defense, namely the expense needs be replicated every single kilometer in both dimensions
on the ground across neighborhoods and roads.
